In Pakistan, the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) and District Health Authority Rawalpindi signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a vaccination centre under the Expanded Programme on Immunisation at AKUH Saidpur Road, Rawalpindi Branch with the objective of enhancing the outreach to meet vaccination targets. During the ceremony, AKUH CEO, Shagufta Hassan, spoke about the guiding principles of AKUH: Quality, Relevance, Impact and Access. She stated: "Every programme we implement is based on these core principles and because immunisation programme fits all, it is of high importance to us."
