Qozidavlat Qoimdodov, Resident Representative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Tajikistan, participated in the launch of Tajikistan’s Prioritised Action Plan for health (2024-2026) at the International Human Capital Forum Tajikistan 2024. Mr Qoimdodov emphasised that healthcare is a priority for AKDN. Through the Aga Khan Agency for Health Services (AKHS), the organisation has mobilised about 10 million US dollars over the past five years, with 50% coming from internal funds. He highlighted the importance of aligning international action plans with national priorities to effectively distribute funds and achieve sustainable results. He also stressed that healthcare is essential for promoting human capital and that AKDN will continue its contributions. Additionally, he mentioned the need to consider contemporary challenges, such as climate change, when developing national programmes.
