To mark World Heritage Day 2026, AKTC partnered with Quli Qutub Shah Urban Development Authority (QQSUDA),), the National Institute of Urban Management and Sangat- a cultural initiative by the Tamarind Tree Foundation Trust to host an evening of heritage and music at the Qutb Shahi Tombs in Hyderabad. All four names came together to create an evening filled with music and stories of Hyderabad and its rich history. A heritage walk highlighted 14 years of AKTC's conservation work — stripping modern cement, replacing it with traditional lime mortar and hand-carved basalt, ensuring the structures "breathe" as they did four centuries ago. A Qawwali performance by Sufi band Roohaniyat transformed the restored landscape into "a theatre of living culture."
