In a major development in the education system of Pakistan, the Inter-Boards Coordination Commission (IBCC) and the Aga Khan University Examination Board (AKUEB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a comprehensive framework of cooperation to improve the quality of examinations and assessment across the country, with the aim of introducing modern assessment methods and raising the standard of examinations in line with national and international standards. The agreement was signed during a ceremony chaired by IBCC Executive Director Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah and AKUEB Chief Executive Officer Dr. Naveed Yousuf. Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Naveed Yousuf welcomed the IBCC delegation and shared his thoughts on this collaboration. He said that the Aga Khan University Examination Board was created to set the best standards in education and examinations for Pakistan and the developing world. This board follows the national curriculum and ensures that our educational and assessment standards are in line with global principles. Quality and accessibility are at the heart of our efforts, and we are excited to work with the government to incorporate best assessment practices into the national education system. Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah highlighted the important role of AKUEB in promoting educational reforms.
