The University of Central Asia's Mountain Societies Research Institute has announced the World Mountain Forum 2018, to be held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, from 23 to 26 October. The Forum’s topic is "Mountains in a Changing World: Strengthening Partnerships and Pathways towards a Thriving Mountain Future". This Forum is the fourth in a series of World Mountain Forum (WMF) events and will be hosted by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the support from the Government of Switzerland, the University of Central Asia, and the Aga Khan Foundation. The forum will strive to identify and develop solutions for mountain areas globally, but with a special emphasis this year on the mountains of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia.
