As representative of the victims of the Bojayá (Colombia), Leyner played a key role in the peace negotiations between FARC and the Colombian government and has spent more than twenty years fighting for the rights of victims of the conflict. The ceremony made him feel free to continue working to transform the life of his community. All this, together with the action plans he has in mind, is what have earned him the award.
