After performances at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on 23 and 24 March, Qyrq Qyz (Forty Girls) will finally be performed before an audience in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Qyrq Qyz celebrates women’s power through the exploits of an intrepid young band of "Amazons of the Steppe". During the concert, projected images transport the audience to the wind-scoured steppes of Central Asia. This event is presented in collaboration with the Aga Khan Music Initiative.
