Every year, the Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa hosts a personal project exhibition, where year 10 students showcase their personal projects. The project is part of the International Baccalaureate Curriculum, where they create something to address a need they saw in the community. At just 15 years of age, these students have invented products they hope will have a place in the market as they also complete their school projects.
