In Peshawar, Pakistan, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently signed for the launching of an integrated maternal, newborn, child health, and immunisation pilot project. The MoU signing includes Peshawar Medical College, the Aga Khan University, Karachi and the Centre for Global Child Health at the Hospital for Sick Children, Canada. The objectives of the project are to improve practices and services, particularly in the Covid-19 context including routine childhood immunisation. The 18-month pilot project will focus on improving the health of women and children and on rebuilding health and immunisation systems that have been disrupted or halted due to Covid-19.
