Visual artist Radha Chaddah has always had an abiding interesting in science so when artistic opportunities dried up as the pandemic hit, Chaddah got inspired. The result is a four-act dance performance - the first part "IAM: Dance of the Molecules" premiered as a digital exhibition on the Aga Khan Museum (AKM)’s website on 5 March and runs for eight weeks. Subsequent acts - human, planetary and universal, all using the Covid virus as an entry point - will be unveiled over the coming months until the final instalment in December 2022. Following that, all four acts will be presented as a 50-minute live performance. Amirali Alibhai, head of performing arts at AKM, said the museum had been looking for ways to collaborate with Chaddah pre-pandemic.
