A section of a trolley track measuring approximately 7.4 metres, discovered buried beneath the road surface near Jalan Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah in George Town, Malaysia, beside one of the historic bastions near Fort Cornwallis, will be displayed as an open public exhibition. The initiative is the result of a collaboration between said that the Department of National Heritage, the State Government, represented by the Penang Chief Minister Incorporated (CMI), the George Town Conservation and Development Corporation (GTCDC), and the Aga Khan Trust for Culture (AKTC). "Several options are also being discussed by the project team, conservation experts and landscape consultants, including maintaining the track in its original location and accompanied by information boards and public landscaping,” said Chief Minister of Penang, YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow.
