Nation Media Group (NMG) Uganda has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Aga Khan University Graduate School of Media and Communications to strengthen media innovation and enhance journalists’ skills. The signing ceremony took place at the Aga Khan University campus in Uganda. NMG-Uganda Managing Director Susan Nsibirwa said the partnership will equip journalists with modern competencies including digital journalism, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and media leadership. “It’s a very important MoU for us. Two years ago, we agreed to look for strategic partnerships that would enable us to grow in different areas. This collaboration with Aga Khan University allows us to upskill our journalists in specific areas because there’s been a lot of change in the way media is consumed and content is produced,” Ms Nsibirwa said.
