Health authorities unveiled the National Medical Tourism Initiative during the 30th Annual International Conference of the Pakistan Association of Plastic Surgeons (PAPS), positioning Pakistan as a regional hub for high-quality and cost-effective plastic and reconstructive surgery. The conference highlighted Pakistan’s growing stature in plastic, reconstructive, burn, and aesthetic surgery, reinforcing its potential as a promising destination for medical tourism. Launched under the auspices of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), the initiative aims to promote advanced yet affordable surgical care for international patients, attract foreign investment, strengthen healthcare infrastructure, and enhance the country’s global standing in specialised medical services.
