On 4 December in Kabul, President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan met with the new AKDN Diplomatic Representative for Afghanistan, Ms. Sheherazade Hijri, to discuss some issues including economic expansion, restoration of historical monuments and sites and educational programmes. The President reiterated the cooperation between the Aga Khan Development Network and the government institutions as he believed this would remain effective in the projection and design of the historical monuments and places in Afghanistan.
