On 13 September, the Aga Khan Award for Architecture ceremony will take place in Kazan. Prince Karim Aga Khan IV and President of Tatarstan, Mr. Rustam Minnikhanov will be at the ceremony. The ceremony which marks the completion of a three-year cycle of the competition always takes place in locations that have a special architectural and cultural significance for the Muslim world. "We are pleased to see that this time Kazan was selected as such a location. This is one of the most prestigious architectural awards in the world" noted the Head of the Ministry of Culture of Tatarstan.
