The winners have been announced by the AKAA’s Director, Farrokh Derakhshani at a press conference in Kazan on 29 August. This is the first Russian project in the 42 years of its history. "The Programme of developing park areas and squares in Tatarstan is the result of the work of a team of young people working here, not just one architect " said the Director of the Award. According to Mr. Derakhshani, members of the Jury were impressed that such large-scale initiatives were implemented in such a short time in different cities and villages of Tatarstan within the framework of the Programme.
