On 4 January, at the inauguration ceremony for the restoration of three tombs of the Qutb Shahi tombs complex, German Consul-General Karen Stoll spoke to mark the completion of work on Hakims’ and Commander’s tomb, which was restored by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture. "This is my second encounter with the architecture of India and it’s simply breathtaking. I didn’t expect anything of this sort," said Ms Stoll, clearly surprised by the sublime monuments at the Qutb Shahi tombs complex.
