From May 12th to 22nd, the Aswan Music Project organised a series of workshops in the villages near Cairo, Egypt. The pilot project included songs creation with children to use the power of music to mobilise, educate and reconnect the community while exploring, preserving and transmitting a rich musical heritage. The Aswan Music Project is the newest AKND initiative in Aswan, commissioned by the Aga Khan Music Initiative (AKMI).
