Communities living near the Bujagali hydro power plant have hailed Bujagali Energy Limited [BEL], the producers of power at the facility, for helping them live a better life. This follows the completion of several social projects BEL had promised to set up as it started construction works for the 250 Megawatt power dam in 2007. The projects include the expansion of Budondo Health Centre IV, extending power lines to the communities and improvement of school structures.
