Shandur Festival sees major health, environmental push by AKAH

The Aga Khan Agency for Habitat (AKAH) Chitral, Pakistan played a key role at the recent Shandur Festival 2025, leading efforts in public health support and environmental conservation. The AKAH team established a first aid camp that provided essential health services to more than 200 festival attendees. The camp attracted frequent visits from both local and international festivalgoers, as well as government officers. Volunteers collected plastic waste, placed waste bins around the festival venue, and raised awareness on environmental issues such as plastic pollution, safe waste disposal, and hygiene.
