The TIME Magazine picked out 100 of the World’s Best Places. One among these is the Sunder Nursery that stands as a testimony of urban renewal and environmental development in the city of Delhi by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture. Sunder Nursery is a 16th-century heritage park complex adjacent to the Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Delhi. Aligned with the large entrance plaza of Humayun’s tomb, Sunder Nursery features a spectacular pedestrian Central Axis conceived in three parts, as a progression of formally arranged gardens around the heritage structures and merging at its end with the arboretum and water gardens.
