Surgo Health, a public benefit corporation pioneering human-centred AI for healthcare, today announced a proof-of-concept initiative in Pakistan to test how generative AI can deliver real-time, ground-level insights to strengthen family planning and immunisation programmes. The project will begin in Karachi, in collaboration with a local partner, the Center of Excellence in Women and Child Health at Aga Khan University (AKU), Pakistan. AKU emphasised the importance of innovating data systems to strengthen health outcomes. “This collaboration represents a major step toward modernising how we collect and interpret behavioural data in Pakistan,” said Imran A. Chauhadry, Assistant Professor and Lead Data Management and Analytics at the Centre of Excellence in Women and Child Health, AKU. “AI-enabled interviewing has the potential to deliver community-level insights that are faster, richer, and more actionable, supporting more responsive family planning and immunisation programmes across the country.”
