Last week, two California State University, Northridge (CSUN) professors (Kathleen Rowlands and Brian Foley) arrived at the Aga Khan Academy (AKA) Mombasa. They are there for a three-week programme designed to provide professional development for the Academy’s teachers and to learn more about the Academy and its teaching methodology. Focused on improving student literacy, this visit will give Professor Rowlands an insight into the Academy's approach to teaching English and creative writing, and to discuss the latest research with the staff.
