Kyrgyzstan plans to use the results of a study on new forms of digital employment in developing a new law on employment, including the legal status of freelancers, digital platform workers and their social protection. The study was prepared by a University of Central Asia (UCA) team under the “Cheber: Skills Development in Kyrgyzstan” project, funded by the Government of Switzerland and implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation. Participants were to prepare recommendations for improving state employment policy.
