The Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, is hosting an exhibition that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the first human steps on the moon with "The Moon: A Voyage Through Time." The exhibition is on view through 18 August. The exhibition brings together important miniature paintings, scientific instruments, Islamic manuscripts, and contemporary works of art to illustrate the wonder at the moon that is shared among cultures. A highlight of this immersive exhibition is a giant sculpture titled "Moon", by contemporary British artist Luke Jerram. The sculpture, connecting the museum’s first and second floors, is an internally illuminated replica of the moon and measures five meters in diameter.
