The third edition of the Gender Climate Award (GCA) concluded in Islamabad, Pakistan, honouring individuals and initiatives driving gender-responsive climate action across Pakistan. Winners were recognised in two categories: climate action and climate journalism. Launched by the French Embassy in 2023, the GCA celebrates efforts at the intersection of gender and climate change. This year’s edition, marking the 10th anniversary of the Paris Agreement, was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Climate Change and Environmental Coordination (MoCC&EC), UNDP, Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Aga Khan Foundation, and UN Women. The Civil Society Coalition for Climate Change (CSCCC) served as the implementing partner. The ceremony was attended by diplomats, government officials, civil society, academics, youth, and media representatives.
