This year’s Aga Khan Music Awards 2025 will celebrate ‘power of music’ in London

The internationally renowned Aga Khan Music Awards (AKMA) will be held in London for the first time from 20 to 23 November 2025 at the Southbank Centre, spanning the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, and The Purcell Room. The tri-annual awards celebrate exceptional musicians whose work preserves and reimagines music in cultures with a significant Muslim presence. Open to all, AKMA honours artists across devotional, classical, folk, and contemporary tradition-inspired genres. This will be the third edition of the awards, following previous ceremonies in Lisbon (2019) and Muscat (2022). Past laureates include Pakistan’s Zarsanga and Sain Zahoor for their contributions to traditional and devotional music.
