The Amber Denim Loom Shed building has been selected as one of the 20 projects for the Aga Khan Architecture Award 2019. The building, located in Gazipur, has been designed for Archeground and represents a traditional Bangladeshi residential architecture but uses contemporary elements to give it a modern touch. The building, which functions as a loom, has a simple design that includes a large open space to accommodate the loom machines, a lounge for shoppers, a dining room for workers, a prayer area and bathrooms.
