In a recent interview, UCA Associate Professor and Director of the MSc in Economics and Data Science, Anwar Naseem, highlights the growing role of data and analytics in supporting decision-making across industries, including the creative economy. He emphasised that while data cannot replace creativity, it can help identify target audiences, evaluate markets, and assess the effectiveness of public policies and business strategies. Naseem noted that the increasing availability of digital data has created new opportunities for evidence-based decision-making in government, business, and the nonprofit sector. He also introduced UCA's new Master's programme, which combines economics, data science, statistics, programming, and machine learning to prepare professionals for data-driven roles.
