Thanking AKDN’s works in areas of health, agriculture and cultural heritage, Mr Danesh asked for the AKDN’s continued cooperation with Afghanistan. Ms Hirji praised Afghan government’s cooperation and in particular, second Vice President’s sincere support of their programmes in Afghanistan. She also briefed Mr Danesh on AKDN programmes in areas of agriculture in Daikundi province, a plan for upgrading of Bamyan hospital to a regional one and connecting it to other AKDN-run hospitals in Afghanistan and Pakistan and their development programmes in other provinces of the country.
