Winners have been announced for the 2019 Aga Khan Award for Architecture, including the first UAE project to ever win the award: X Architect's Wasit Wetland Centre in Sharjah. This year's 20-project shortlist features works from across 16 different countries, all of which positively contribute to the built environment of Muslim communities.
The winners will be commemorated at an awards ceremony in Kazan, Russia on the 13th of September 2019.
