In Lahore, Pakistan, the Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA) has started work on the Royal Trail package-4 to restore and develop the path from Old Kotwali Chowk up to Sonehri Mosque. The Aga Khan Trust for Culture will be the technical partners for this project and it is expected to be completed in a year and a half. The Director General of WCLA, Kamran Lashari, believes that this work is imperative to restore the old city’s precious beauty and for the provision of new infrastructure to the local community.
