The World Bank has agreed to provide $ 1.15bn to fund two power projects in Pakistan. The fund will go to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hydropower and Renewable Energy Development project, which the bank says will help Pakistan use more renewable energy and cut the cost of electricity production. The World Bank will provide $700m to this scheme, alongside with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, the Deutsche Bank and the Aga Khan Development Network.
