Sometimes, a health professional will ask for a repeat of the tests if there are inconsistencies or when the treatment plan presents gaps. At AKUH, the laboratory is accredited. This requires AKUH to adhere to standards relating to laboratory records, quality control of procedures for the preceding accreditation period, qualifications of laboratory staff, equipment, facilities, safety programmes and their recording and overall laboratory management.
