Dar es Salaam, 26 February 2015 - As Chancellor of the Aga Khan University, His Highness the Aga Khan presided over the second of three Aga Khan University convocation ceremonies, in Kampala, Uganda, on 26 February 2015. The Convocation ceremony was held at Victoria Hall, Kampala Serena Hotel on Thursday, February 26, 2015. The School of Nursing and ​Midwifery graduated 49 students this year. The degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing was conferred upon 22 graduates while 27 graduates were conferred with the Diploma in General Nursing. Eight graduates of Institute for Educational Development, based in Tanzania, also received their Master of Education degree during this ceremony.​ This year's valedictorian speech was delivered by Betty Mase​ngere, a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme.
