Paris, France, 26 March 2014 -- An exhibition entitled “5 Projets pour un monde responsable” (“Five Projects for a Sustainable World”) was inaugurated today. The Exhibition, which focuses on the 2013 cycle of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, will be on display at the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, in the Palais de Chaillot (Trocadéro), Paris, from 26 March until 12 May 2014. Guy Amsellem, President of the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, and Francis Rambert, Directeur of the French Institute of Architecture, joined Farrokh Derakhshani, Director of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture, at the inauguration. The Exhibition includes graphic panels and video screens that feature the five recipients of the 2013 Award and 15 of the shortlisted projects from the 12th cycle. It also features interviews with Marc Barani, Christian de Portzamparc, Isabelle Hérault, Dominique Perrault and Rudy Ricciotti speaking about the 2013 winners. An introductory film on the Award process and large graphic panels present the history of the Award (including previous winning projects, Steering Committee and Master Jury members and publications). As part of the exhibition programme, a panel discussion featuring prominent French architects will take place on 14 April 2014. More information on the panel discussion is available below.
