The AKF-supported Madrasa Early Childhood Programme in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda has not only benefited more than 130,000 students over the past 30 years — it has also provided thousands of local women, most of whom have little formal education, the opportunity to become early childhood teachers or caregivers.
