The Humayun's Tomb - Sunder Nursery - Hazrat Nizamuddin Basti Urban Renewal Project, in the heart of Delhi, India, combines a cultural heritage project with socio-economic initiatives including healthcare and education.
The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality of life for people in the area while creating an important new green space for the people of Delhi and beyond.
"One other area in which architecture can play a connecting role is through the bridging of man and nature, between the natural and the built environments... Neither environmental protection nor economic development can be long sustained unless both objectives are prioritised. They are part of a Common Agenda."
