AGA KHAN SCHOOLS

The Aga Khan Schools (AKS) provides high-quality education to more than 110,000 students each year in 12 countries, helping them develop into leaders who positively impact their communities. Comprising the Aga Khan Education Services and the Aga Khan Academies, it is one of the largest private, not-for-profit school networks in the world. Most of its schools are located in rural and remote communities, where access to quality education is limited.

AKS is a network of 200 schools, over 100 non-formal education programme centres and eight hostels across East Africa, the Middle East and South and Central Asia. The schools serve students from the age of 18 months to adulthood each year, with the support of over 6,500 teachers and staff.
