Academy Locations
The growing network of Academies allows faculty to collaborate across the network to develop curricula and share best pedagogical practices. Students typically spend a semester of their Middle Years Programme studying at another campus, learning first-hand about other cultures.

In 2003, the first of the Aga Khan Academies was established in the Kizingo area of Mombasa, Kenya. The design of the 18-acre campus was inspired by Swahili architecture and includes a residential facility, a sports complex, classrooms, resource areas and common areas.
The Aga Khan Academy Mombasa is an authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) World School.
The Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad began operating in 2011 on an expansive 100-acre campus, adjacent to the international airport and near the city of Hyderabad, India. The Academy opened first with its Junior School and then in 2012 initiated the Senior School, including the residential programme.
Like the first Academy in Mombasa, the Aga Khan Academy Hyderabad is an IB World School.

The Aga Khan Academy Maputo is the third in the network of Aga Khan Academies. It follows the highly successful model established by the first two Academies in Mombasa and Hyderabad.
The Academy opened its Junior School in 2013 and has since expanded to include the Senior School and a residential programme. The first MYP graduating class was in 2020 and the IB Diploma was introduced in August 2020 to Grade 11 students. The Aga Khan Academy Maputo was recognised as a CIS Member School in 2020. It is also an IB World School.
