The Central Asian Faculty Development Programme (CAFDP) was established in 2008 to create a cadre of exceptional Central Asian academics with international experience and recognised credentials who will deliver UCA’s teaching and research programmes.
Under the CAFDP, 80 scholarships have been granted to scholars from Central Asia to pursue advanced degrees at prestigious universities across Asia, Europe, and North America. In return, recipients commit to serving as faculty members at UCA for at least four years following graduation. To date, 21 fellows have completed their service commitment to UCA and the AKDN, with nine continuing to contribute as faculty members and researchers at the University.
