The Central Asian Faculty Development Programme (CAFDP) was established in 2008 to create a cadre of exceptional Central Asian academics with international experience and recognised credentials who will deliver UCA’s teaching and research programmes.
Under CAFDP, 43 Central Asian scholars have received support to pursue advanced degrees at universities in Asia, Europe and North America, with the understanding that upon graduating they will serve as UCA faculty for a minimum of four years. Currently, 17 CAFDP graduates are serving UCA in various capacities.
