The Climate Change Coordinator drives climate mitigation and adaptation initiatives, focusing on GHG emissions management, sustainable practices, and climate risk assessment. Key responsibilities include conducting training, performing environmental assessments, and developing resilience strategies across AKAH programs. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct training, workshops, research related to GHG emission, environmental sustainability and Climate Change mitigation and adaptation measures including carbon sequestration. Provide technical guidance and support to built-environment, emergency management and development programs to implement mitigation and adaptation measures to reduce impact of climate change. Provide technical input in proposals to key donors in the area of Climate Change. Lead the AKAH Green House Gas (GHG) Measurement and Management initiative, AKDN net zero 2030 decarbonization plan of AKAH India and promote AKDN Green building guideline. This is a country wide role, pivotal for shaping and implementing our organization's strategic safety and security vision. Position Summary The Security Manager will drive safety, security, and risk management initiatives for Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan (AKHS, P). S/he will develop and implement risk-based strategies, policies, standards, and procedures in line with wider AKDN policy. A strategic safety and security perspective will be maintained through links with local organizations and official departments in order to inform appropriate operational level decisions for AKHS, P country operations. Key Responsibilities Security Management and Planning Develop and implement a structured safety and security management system, in line with the AKDN Security Level System (SLS), and provide directions on safety and security strategy, policy, standards and procedures. Develop and implement the mandated (SLS) assessments, procedures, plans, and mechanisms appropriate to regional threat levels. Oversee the planning, implementation and quality control of AKHS, P security manpower, technical assets, and physical protection measures such as CCTV cameras, access control systems, alarm systems, and firefighting equipment, are appropriate, maintained and correctly utilized. Collect and analyze security information and disseminate security advisories. Review and implement the safety and security mitigation strategies, manage the remedial action plans, and lead the audit process. Incident Management Develop and maintain a critical incident management team (CIMT) and prepare contingency plans to manage critical incidents, including coordination and supporting emergency services during critical incidents. Support the supervisor and CIMT and manage all safety and security aspects of incident response. Develop and maintain a communications system that is robust enough to ensure reliable communications with required services and personnel in an emergency. Report all safety and security incidents in a timely manner and participate in any after-action reviews. Coordination and Relationships Establish relationships with the relevant law enforcement agencies, community leaders, and emergency services to ensure their support as required. Actively participate in monthly security coordination cell (SCC) meetings. We are seeking to fill the below post within our establishment. The position holder will be based in our Kisumu School. Position: Electrician Role Summary Undertake a variety of tasks relating to setting up and maintaining electrical infrastructure. S/He should be able to maintain well-functioning electrical connections to minimize the probability of accidents and maximize usability of electricity within the school facilities. Key Responsibilities: Execute plans of electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom and other electrical systems. Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify any issues that may require repair or maintenance. Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems. Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.) Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components. Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them. Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits etc. Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or substitute damaged units Keep the Facilities Manager or Head Teacher informed of any potential risks and recommend alleviation plans. Continuous power connectivity with seamless interchange during blackouts. 24-hour turnaround on rectification of any major electrical breakdown to ensure operations within the school is not disrupted. Existence of an analysis of continuous faults and rectification, periodic maintenance of all electrical appliances, motors, transformers, and instrumentation.
