25 September 2022 - In recognition of his work to improve the quality of life of people in Canada and around the world, the Key to the City of Toronto was awarded to His Highness the Aga Khan by His Worship Mayor John Tory at a special ceremony hosted in Toronto on 25 September 2022. The ceremony also commemorated the naming of a segment of Wynford Drive to Aga Khan Boulevard on signs adjacent to the Aga Khan Museum, Aga Khan Park, and the Ismaili Centre. Prince Amyn accepted the honours on behalf of his brother, His Highness the Aga Khan, and thanked Mayor Tory and the City of Toronto for the special gesture.
