Hesenjan and Husenjan Tursun were born into the same music family in the northern Uyghur town of Ghulja in the green and fertile Ili Valley. Rising stars in the world of Uyghur music, the brothers mastered a range of traditional instruments and after exploring pop and folk music as well as classical muqam repertory, devoted themselves to the noblest of the Uyghur instruments, the satar and the tambur.
