Global Centre for Pluralism - Centre mondial du pluralisme, Ottawa, Canada. In 2006, His Highness the Aga Khan and the Government of Canada formed a partnership to launch the Global Centre for Pluralism – a private, not-for-profit institution founded in Canada with a global mission to serve the world. Through research, education and dialogue, the Centre seeks to advance understanding of the sources of inclusion and exclusion in Canada and globally.

The University of Central Asia’s undergraduate campus in Naryn, Kyrgyz Republic. The University of Central Asia (UCA) is opening campuses at high altitude sites in Naryn, Kyrgyz Republic (2016) and Khorog, Tajikistan (2017), and is preparing for construction in Tekeli, Kazakhstan.

The Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, Canada is the first museum in North America dedicated to the arts of Muslim civilizations.

Syrian Symphony, an exhibition of the Aga Khan Museum, orchestrates music, painting, and media arts by some of Syria’s leading artists and musicians. Opened in 2014, the Aga Khan Museum is home to over 1,000 masterpieces showcasing the arts of Muslim civilizations from the Iberian Peninsula to China. Its dynamic collection of manuscripts, scientific instruments, paintings, ceramics, and metalwork continues to evolve through new acquisitions.

Aga Khan High School, Kampala, Uganda. Aga Khan Education Service, Uganda (AKES,U) operates two nursery schools and two private co-educational day schools. These schools help diminish the many obstacles to educational access and opportunity by offering high quality value for money education geared to develop inquisitive learners and the country’s future leaders and job creators.

Humayun&#39;s Tomb Complex - Site exhibit at West Gateway of the complex, New Delhi, India. In response to the dramatic increase in visitors, a state-of-the-art site museum is to be built by AKTC at the entrance of the World Heritage Site to: enhance visitor experience; allow a better understanding of Mughal architecture and building craft traditions; shed light on the development of the Nizamuddin area over a millennium; and, most significantly, explain the pluralist Sufi cultural traditions that defined Hindustani culture for at least five centuries.

The Academies achieve this by recruiting exceptional young people from all backgrounds and providing them with the highest international standard of education. The Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi (AKUH-N), Kenya, has become an important referral centre for the East African region, with world-class specialists, diagnostics services and high quality care and state-of-the-art equipment. AKUH-N is the most comprehensive private hospital in East and Central Africa with over 60 services, and a Heart and Cancer Centre, which provides specialist cancer care and interventional cardiac and open heart surgical care.

Global Centre for Pluralism (GCP) - Centre mondial du pluralisme. The Centre’s permanent headquarters in the restored heritage building at 330 Sussex Drive, Ottawa - formerly the Public Archives of Canada (1905-1967) and the Canadian War Museum (1967-2005). The Centre&#39;s mission is to serve as a global platform for comparative analysis, education and dialogue about the choices and actions that advance and sustain pluralism. Founded in Ottawa by His Highness the Aga Khan in partnership with the Government of Canada, the Global Centre for Pluralism is an independent, charitable organization. Inspired by Canada’s experience as a diverse and inclusive country, the Centre was created to advance positive responses to the challenge of living peacefully and productively together in diverse societies. The Centre is governed by an international Board of Directors and chaired by His Highness the Aga Khan.

Surgeons at the Aga Khan University Hospital Nairobi, Kenya, demonstrate the use of the Stealth S7 neuronavigation system which was installed at the university in August 2017. The technology is standard in neurosurgery, head, neck and spine care worldwide and the Aga Khan University Hospital is now the first in the region to introduce the technology and the third in Africa outside Egypt and South Africa. This technology enables the neurosurgeon to utilise image-guided computer technology, to accurately project images from computed tomography (CT) or magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data. These image-guided and computer-assisted technologies, called neuro-navigation systems, provide highly precise spatial information to neurosurgeons as they conduct the surgical procedure.

The Bujagali Hydropower Plant in Jinja, Uganda, built by AKDN and its partners, supplies nearly 50% of the country’s electricity. When it was built, it was the largest carbon offset project in Africa.

Founded by the Aga Khan in 1960, the Nation Media Group (NMG) has its origins in Kenya’s Taifa and Nation newspapers, which were set up to provide independent voices during the years just preceding the country’s independence. In recent years, the Group has expanded its operations into Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda and has established itself as the Region’s leading media group with investments in print and electronic media across East Africa.

Al-Azhar Park, Cairo, Egypt. The creation of the 30-hectare (74-acre) Al-Azhar park, undertaken in the historic district of Cairo by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture, has become a catalyst for urban renewal in one of the most congested cities in the world. With 1.5 million visitors a year, the US$ 30 million Park - a gift from His Highness the Aga Khan to the city of Cairo - not only generates enough funds for its own maintenance (through gate and restaurant receipts), but has proven to be a powerful catalyst for urban renewal in the neighbouring district of Darb al-Ahmar.
