MSD, the Medical Stores Department, signed an MoU with the Aga Khan Health Services (AKHS) to strengthen the pharmaceutical supply systems. The Director General of MSD, Mr Lauren Bwanakunu wants to make sure that quality medicines in the national hospitals are the same as in lower hospitals including dispensaries and health centres. AKHS East Africa Regional CEO, Mr Sulaiman Shahabuddin, said the MoU would ensure cooperation and benefit for both organisations.
