On 9 February, Prince Rahim Aga Khan met with United Nations (UN) Secretary General Mr. António Guterres at the UN’s Headquarters in New York. During the meeting, Mr. Guterres and Prince Rahim spoke about the longstanding partnership between the Aga Khan Development Network and the UN, and discussed ways in which to enhance collaboration between the agencies of the two institutions to improve the quality of life of marginalised communities, in particular in Asia and Africa. Recognising also the historical relationship between the UN and the Ismaili Imamat, the Secretary General and Prince Rahim agreed on the importance of regular consultation to strengthen collaboration and achieve mutual objectives.
