Meet the Aga Khan University’s alumna Nasreen Ghani from Swabi, Pakistan, who started her career as a lady health visitor in early ’90s and became the first assistant professor of nursing in the public sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province after completing Master of Science in Nursing at AKU’s School of Nursing and Midwifery in 2005.

Her areas of expertise include midwifery critical care, and nursing management and administration.

She had been on the forefront in establishing the Institute of Nursing Sciences at the Khyber Medical University in Peshawar. Currently, she heads the institute.

“Being a nurse and an educator, I feel proud when I see a passion in young generation to pursue a career in nursing and midwifery. That spirit will help us improve health and wellbeing of our people, and achieve Sustainable Development Goals in the long run,” says Nasreen.
