“Seeing a vision become a reality”: the Aga Khan University has started construction of its Kampala campus. The First Lady of Uganda, Her Excellency Janet Museveni, Princess Zahra Aga Khan, Cornelia Penzel, KFW Country Director and AKU President Sulaiman Shahabuddin all spoke at the ceremony.

The 60-acre campus will significantly expand the School of Nursing and Midwifery in Kampala and will allow the University to begin training medical specialists. It will also host the Aga Khan University Hospital, Kampala, which will offer care in nearly two dozen specialties.
